Q: Do you hold stock or will I receive substitution(s) if an item is out of stock?

A: At our production facility, we strive to maintain a robust inventory of our products, ensuring availability for our customers across various platforms including from our online store, from our UberEats kitchens, and our food truck events. While we work diligently to keep our products stocked and available at all times, we’re also a small-scale production facility continuously crafting more goods to meet demand.

In the event that you order an item currently out of stock or awaiting production, rest assured we’ll handle it seamlessly. We’ll substitute it with a product of similar nature from our range. If a suitable alternative isn’t available, we’ll promptly reach out to you to discuss possible substitutes or provide a refund for the unavailable item.

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we’re committed to ensuring your experience with us is smooth and enjoyable. Should you have any specific preferences or concerns regarding substitutions, feel free to let us know, and we’ll accommodate your needs to the best of our ability. A: Vegan Streetfood is proud to offer NATIONWIDE delivery, reaching every corner served by the Courier Guy and beyond!

PLEASE NOTE: Orders placed from Wednesday onwards are processed starting the following Monday, allowing for our food truck events from Thursday to Sunday. The estimated timeline for delivery is as follows:

Standard Shipping: Our most economical choice for non-perishable goods, including merchandise, dry goods, books, and more. Delivery typically takes +/- 3-5 business days from dispatch in regional areas. Outlying areas may experience longer delivery periods.

Express Shipping: Similar to Standard Shipping, this option is ideal for non-perishable items, providing a faster delivery turnaround of +/- 2-3 business days from dispatch in regional areas. Outlying areas may experience longer delivery periods.

Express Local Delivery: Tailored for Cape Town residents, this cold-freight service ensures swift delivery of orders containing perishable goods (frozen, fresh, or chilled items). The fee covers; delivery, a reusable cooler box, ice bricks, dry ice, and other cold-freight materials to the value of R80. Expect Same Day Delivery upon dispatch.

Expedited Shipping: Our exclusive cold-freight delivery service for perishable items. The fee includes; shipping, a reusable cooler box, ice bricks, dry ice, and other cold-freight materials to the value of R80. Enjoy expedited delivery within +/- 24–48 business hours from dispatch.

LMC Depot to Depot: Regulated cold-freight shipping service for perishable items ordered in bulk (Parcels from 10kg–30kg). This service is charged at a R365 FLAT FEE and includes; shipping, a reusable cooler box, ice bricks, dry ice, and other cold-freight materials to the value of R80 where necessary. Parcels are then delivered to one of the applicable LMC Depots (DNB | JHB | PE) for collection by the customer. Additional local courier from the depot to your door can be arranged at an extra expense. Please contact us to arrange this additional step.

Moreover, benefit from FREE collection depots and alternative delivery choices like Pargo, Pudo, and PostNet to PostNet for select products* (*Excluding frozen, refrigerated, or perishable items).

Q: When can I expect my order?

A: Once your order is placed and payment is confirmed, we initiate the process by dispatching it to our production kitchen for meticulous processing and packing. This typically takes 1-2 days.

After the production and packing phase, your order is seamlessly integrated into the courier system. Please note that orders with perishables leaving Cape Town are scheduled for dispatch between Monday and Wednesday, ensuring a 48-hour delivery window. (Couriers do not operate on weekends, and we operate from our food truck on the weekends).

The delivery timeframe varies based on your location, ranging from 1-5 days. For outlying areas, we take extra measures to maintain freshness. Orders with perishable items are exclusively checked out with our “Expedited Shipping” option, ensuring delivery within 48 hours once collected by the courier where appropriate.

Unforeseen shipping delays, which are beyond our control, may occur. Should such circumstances arise, we will diligently keep our customers informed, allowing them the option to cancel or amend their order before it is dispatched. Once orders have been dispatched, orders are no longer eligible for cancellation.

Q: I’ve ordered online for collection. Can I collect my order?

A: You absolutely can! You will receive an email advising that your goodies are ready for collection as well as the pick up location address. You can then collect at any time during our opening hours.

HOWEVER! Please do wait for your “READY FOR COLLECTION” email before showing up at the collection location. Should you arrive prior to receiving this email, we may not have your product ready, packed or even available at the collection location yet. Q: Why is Woodstock or Westlake collection not an option for me at checkout?

A: Only customers who are located within Cape Town will see this option. However, should you live outside of Cape Town and wish to send a family member or your own courier to collect your order, you may select Customer Arranged Collection at checkout. There is a R50 shipping and handling fee to cover any and all specialised packaging such as shipping cooler boxes, ice bricks, dry ice, thermal packaging, etc.

Should they arrive prior to receiving this email, we may not have your product ready, packed or even available at the collection location yet. Q: Do you offer international shipping?

A: We unfortunately cannot offer International shipping as of yet.

Q: What is your return policy?

A: We have a 3-day return policy, which means you have 3 days after receiving your item to request a refund on any defect item. This policy does not cover any perishable products, or items that you didn’t personally enjoy. Additionally, we do not offer a direct refund after the order has been shipped. The refund provided is in form of store credits/gift card which can be used on the store for any future orders. Cancellations made before shipping can be refunded on the bank card/account or in the form of store credits/gift cards.

For merchandise and non-perishable items to be eligible for a return, the item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. To start a return, you can contact us at [email protected].

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as; perishable goods (food, flowers, or plants, etc), custom products (such as special orders or personalised items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

We carry some stock in our warehouse that we are constantly restocking. However, it is possible that you could order a product that we are temporarily out of stock of. If this happens, we will contact you within 2-3 working days to notify you and to give you alternative options e.g. swap for another similar product, backorder, or obtain a credit on the item.

Q: Can I get an invoice for my order?

A: Absolutely! You will receive an invoice from our system after purchase, automatically. Should this invoice not be sufficient for your requirements, please do reach out to us at [email protected] and we will endeavour to provide you with an amended copy.

Q: Do you offer gift options and gift cards?

A: We absolutely do! Check out our shop for our range of fresh & frozen goodies, gift vouchers, merchandise, event tickets and so much more. There is sure to be a gift there that will make your loved one very happy. If however you cannot find what you are looking for, please do reach out as we do offer custom products on request.
